The short version: your files never leave your device, and we don't track you.
Your files
The image compressor runs entirely in your browser. Files you drop, browse or paste are read and processed locally with the canvas API and in-page encoders. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us — we technically cannot see them.
What we store on your device
- Theme preference — your light/dark choice, in localStorage.
- Notify-me emails — if you enter an email on a “coming soon” page, it is currently stored only in your own browser's localStorage until launch-notification service goes live.
We set no cookies and run no analytics, advertising or fingerprinting scripts.
Hosting logs
The site is served as static files by GitHub Pages, which may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and operations per GitHub's privacy statement. We do not receive or process these logs.
Changes
If future tools require server-side processing, this policy will be updated first and the affected tools will say so explicitly before you use them.
